Favourite grounds that no longer exist....
For me I have to say the old Wembley, ended up being a bit of a ruin inside and pretty dated but you couldn't beat the twin towers!

Although the new Wembley for obvious reasons holds good memories I think as a stadium for atmosphere its a pile of shit, even with us in it and thought Cardiff pissed all over it for that.

Highfield Road, must have been there seven or eight times from the early 70s and if my memory serves me right we won all of them, definitely never lost, including a great game early 80s after we got promoted 4-2 with TC getting a hat trick {?}

Only went to one match in the old wembley. '97 charity shield. I've never seen a sporting event like it. not even the world cup finals in the rose bowl comes close. Haven't been to the new wembley but from the sound of it, i'm not sure i want to.

Frimley Green football club. I walked home once from the pub , the Wheatsheaf , 500yds down the road, I was very very drunk. It was a short cut home , I fell asleep on the pitch . When I woke , around 2 in the morning , it had snowed. As I got up and walked away I looked back , as pissed as I was I still vividly remember the shape of my body in a couple of inches of snow. Like a chalk line in a murder scene ! I hope this tale makes you laugh , it makes me chuckle even now, 30 yrs on .

Re: Favourite grounds that no longer exist....
Cannot believe the FA allowed that to happen. Never saw West Ham at the old Wembley. Made a vow never to go until we got there...gutted I never saw the claret and blue at the old stadium

Had to watch the 75 and 80 finals on TV.

Was at the play off win but to be honest I only wanted international games and cup finals at the stadium. Now, every other play off, semi etc,, is played there. Wembley has lost its soul.

Thanks to the FA.

wembley has been the biggest fck up far. the towers were global unique icons and should have been retained in the new stadium design.

Queen put a time lapse video of their demolition as an extra on their Live at Wembley DVD.

Made me well up a bit...

Not sure I had a specific favourite, just liked all of the old shit holes better than the purpose ones of today.

All had their own great history's and nothing better than a packed away end on the terraces when gaining a decent result.
